Americanization: go screw yourself, culture.

I'm confused.

I've been writing this paper on globalization for the last week and I've come to realize that culture, something I highly prize, is not something important to all people. True, cultures are finite and therefore subject to change and destruction, but is the Americanization of the globe really not that big of a deal? I honestly don't know anymore.
